Biography

Doug Burkhardt joined Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2012 as an Electrical Engineer for the Facilities Division. Doug provides reviews for all Capital and Small Projects at LBNL for constructability, maintainability, reliability and equipment life cycle cost. His knowledge of electrical and fire safety codes, industry standards, along with DOE and LBNL requirements help ensure a safe and well running campus. Doug has been a California registered Professional Engineer since 2011.

Prior to LBNL, Doug graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 1997. Doug then spent fifteen years working for private engineering firms on projects such as the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco and the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. He also received an English degree from the University of Georgia in 1993.

As a delegate, Doug hopes to use his experience in facilities management to increase awareness of CUCSA activities among facilities staff employees.
